Natures Play Poem by Jodie Mayhew

Natures Play

Waves Crash; Tumble
with the Tide
Trees Stand Proud;
on Mountain Side
Spinifex; Spread Overland
A Dusty Storm from Desert Sand
River Flow;
and Trickle by
When Inland Waters have Run Dry
A Forest Breeze Blows;
Branches Sway
The Sun Shines Down on Natures Day
A Choir of Birds;
Chirp and Sing
A Fluttering...Of Insect Wing
Silently Weaving, Its way through the Grass
A Snake on the hunt as it Slithers on Past
Animals burrowing; Underground
Flora above; In Full Bloom All Around
Pollen prepares for the Busy Bee
A Honey Hive;
The Tallest Tree
The Shadow it Casts in the Late Afternoon
In a Greeting to Dusk..For The Rising Moon
Its ambience eerily; Alters the Light
The Lunar Awakening;
Creatures of Night
Predators Prowling;
In Search of their Prey
Performing their Roles in
Natures Play
From Darkness till Dawn
Falling Dewdrops and Then;
The Sun starts to Rise Up;
And It All Starts Again.
