Nemeses (Faithless Apprehension)

NEMESES
(Faithless Apprehension)
By Steven A. J. Drake
February 23,2012

Something much less
Than all I've told.
Courage forsaken on this road.
Eyes in pools of rivers
Gone cold.
Access to Hollywood's
Undertows.
Studied theater in fear
Of character sold out.

No reason. Gifts.
Alchemy thrown.
Lain out, birth, waterways slain.
Recall, depth in the realm
Counting
Sands in the hourglass.
Infinity
Fortuitous bygone days.
Liars take as they please.

Miracles caught
Up in pretence.
Nexus enclosed. Doors falling
Through windows stolen breadth.
Suspense.
Intrigue. Mystery.
Impossible.
Wondering. Dark shadows.
Soul searching clarity.

Ruminating.
Causes lost to
Stars worn out by carpet dreams.
Sought after falls. Wicked
Rivals
Stealing history.
Dark memories.
Takers never come clean.
Slight of hands, enemies.

Nemeses can
Flatter themselves.
Passion of despondency.
No high times that rhymes with love
Gone out
Of suspense bare of
Contention. No
Relief. Sounding. Coping.
Fire's passionate resolve.

Harder than hell!
Lyrics absolved.
Terror's treachery that's solved.
Poetic stories life long.
Off edge…
Secrets fly above
Disparity
Shoved into parity's
Absolution of sins.

Heretofore that
Necessitates
Dire problems of successful
Precision in facts acquired.
Remove
This pain's false claims by
Horror's evil.
Draining my thoughts. Erstwhile,
Yesteryears here today.

Falsely accused
By those whom have
No integrity. With motive
And opportunity.
Selling
Off their souls. In the mix
Of my sky blue
Property sold out by
Faithless apprehension.
