Never A Forever Or The Shape Shifter Poem by Sedart Namow

Never A Forever Or The Shape Shifter

Rating: 5.0

The Shape-Shifter spun and whispered in my ear
"Tell me; tell me what do you want to hear? "
I want to hear needed
I want to hear wanted
Told me he loved me and forever would be
Shadows of the Shape-shifter shaping for me

The Shape-Shifter with a voice like my man said
"Tell me dear how you want to be misled"
You put it in my head: I need you …I want you… I love you
Shape shifter spoke a language unclear
Repeating sweet words I wanted to hear
Shape-shifter spun with elasticity of sheer
then moved into darkness along with my fears

Shape shifter returned with a golden tongue
Sweet words of what would be
Shifted forever for me to see
Magical words I wanted to appear
Shape-shifter said, "Wanted…needed…not now my dear

Shape shifter spit out "There is NEVER a forever with me"
Then shifted into a sultry image that would set me free
The image of my man, before he fled into darkness

Now I know he didn't mean me
Forever and ever was not meant to be
As he said before he disappeared "There is NEVER a forever with me"
