Never Around Poem by Sita Cantu

Never Around

He was never around when I was a little girl.
when I was growing up, my mother told me I don't need a man to take care of me.

So I became numb, when it came to love.
So please don't get mad, when act this way.

Just not used to, don't wanna lose you. Not used to a man having a say.
Just not used to, a love that so true. Not used to a man loving me this way.

You were the one I was looking for. Love never knocked on my door.
Today, I been proven wrong.

Love is here to stay, Love is here to stay!
