Never Mine Poem by Ifeanyi Uduma

Never Mine

Jealousy, an act of a weak lover
Crowded by fear of the unknown
Here it comes, a loss unforeseen
From the start, it was never mine

A future shrouded in illusion
A path unwinding, unknown
Like a butterfly, love flew away
A fleeting bloom, life's transient phase

My heart's pain, a weight I bear
For the love I sought stood far away
Swept away like autumn leaves
A moment lost, a memory remains

A selfish heart consumed by its own desires
For lover lost in fear and doubt
It was never me, but your insecurity
From the start, your heart was never mine
