NIGHT FLIGHT
by
Lady Pattianna
We trudged on into the dark
Spiraling forward like some lonesome quark
Midst orbital transits refusing to park
To make way for a singular traveler.
Passing on thru the painted bejeweled night
We continued to rocket on in our plan of flight,
Focusing on a fantastically lighted firefly sight.
Marveling at its sparkling waggler.
Towns, like galaxies swooshing past,
Stars, asteroids sliding by fast,
As we hurriedly move thru spaciousness vast,
Whilst studying a road unraveler.
Time seems to be standing still,
Our ship traversing valley and hill,
Sleep comes and goes almost at will,
Till,
Morning light comes. A night baffler.
Our journey has ended and we’ve safely arrived.
Sights are quite pleasant, our rewards we derive,
From beginning to finish for home we have strived.
A weary, but happy traveler.
