No Complaints Poem by bob barci

No Complaints

Nearly six months have passed
with no written word by me
to state how my life is going.
Is everything going so well?
I can't complain.
If I mess up
I have only me to blame.
When all goes well,
I'm as happy as I can be
so there's no need to write out my frustrations,
simply because – there aren't any.
It feels good to hear the laughing child,
I have to laugh along.
It feels good to get the love I do,
I have to return that love.
Who can resist?
I have no complaints.
Nothing to hold me down.
No story of despair.
Only love poems,
which are a definite upper.
Cloudy days don't mean that much,
there's always that special glow after the rain.
I've got my love
and that loves got me.
With that love in my hands
there are no complaints.
