No Eyes Poem by Ofentse Mercy Hajane (The Dark So'tho Seer)

No Eyes

Child of the earth's soil,
Guardian of the crimson days.
When heads clash in the open air
You stand apart, amused by their tragic folly.
In darkness you hold tight,
Keeper of the sorrow's flame.

While dreams crumble under the darkness' weight
You silently watch them fade away
You, the spectre in the gloom light.
Breathing whispers in the night
All shall fall beneath your gaze

As the sun begins to wither into a cold lump of charred rock.
You were lost in the epitomes of all races forgotten.
And by your hands, their fate was sealed.
As you look down upon the world with sombre eyes.
No light breaks in for them.

Echoes of the past, seemingly screaming in the vacuum of space.
Pleading for mercy's hold to grip your wretched soul.
The sky, shining of deep red, bloated by terror.
Destiny's cruel jest laid bare, in view of all to see its unfettered bosoms.
A faint and fragile light, flickering in the darkness.
But no eyes came to see both.
