No Light Tonight Poem by Katy Lue

No Light Tonight

I wonder silently why everyone can speak everything,
why a kiss holds no love but words from others to others,
I wish I could tell,
speak,
share,
but my secrets fall short of my lips,
and make them so hard to bare,
where am I to go?
with such a load upon my back,
I wander nowhere that I know,
to find what I shall lack,
no light tonight,
it makes it awefully hard to fight,
yet I take flight,
this night,
and only hope that I make it back alright.
