No Longer Safe Poem by Eric Markisen

No Longer Safe

my safe haven
ive built these walls
with intellect and sweat
strong and clean
i roam this room
too stoned to leave
i wanna stay anyway
i'm appreciated in my own presence
or so i think
until my hiding place is found
walls crumble under the pressure
of the force brought upon by thee
no longer in my safe haven
im left with no choice other
than to travel other havens
finding my own
in times own way
