'No One Will Know' Poem by Imogene Wagner

'No One Will Know'

“No one will know”, he plead
as he reached out
hand unto hand and held
her to him dear,
kin to his heart as heart
songs lulled all doubt.

No one will know, she thought
and felt the snares
of the illusion break
and turned to go,
“I will know, sir, and God,
And who else cares? ”
