No Pain No Gain Poem by melinda mackey

No Pain No Gain

Body in tremendous pain,

still I have done what needed to be done.

I have been fussed at, hit at,

spat at.

But my introspective depends on how I choose to react.

Can't believe people act with such hatred.

But I shall acomplish my goal,

if only I was patient.

While the blood still yet runs through my viens.

Like the old folk' use to say no pain,

no gain.
