Noam Chomky, Now And Then Poem by Mohammad Yousef

Noam Chomky, Now And Then

By Mohammad A. Yousef

**Noam Chomsky, Now and Then**

Once, he stood on the edge of thought,
a young man with wild ideas,
words spilling like ink from a pen,
shaping the way we understand language,
each sentence a building block,
every thought a doorway opened wide.

He spoke of rules, of structures,
how every child, in every corner of the world,
carries a hidden map of language,
a treasure waiting to be discovered,
a melody in the mind waiting to be sung.

Now, he sits in a different light,
still sharp, still fierce,
his voice a compass pointing true,
navigating the seas of politics and power,
unraveling the threads of injustice,
lifting the veil on what we call truth.

He challenges the giants,
those who wield power like a sword,
calling out the lies wrapped in pretty words,
reminding us of the stories we forget,
the whispers of the oppressed,
the cries for freedom that echo through time.

In classrooms and halls,
his name is still spoken,
a beacon for those who seek knowledge,
who dare to question, to wonder,
to dig deeper into the heart of things,
unafraid of the shadows that linger.

But sometimes, in quiet moments,
we remember the young Noam,
the dreamer with a heart full of fire,
the one who believed that language was life,
that every word we speak shapes our world,
crafting bridges between hearts,
and lighting the paths of the unknown.

Now and then, he reminds us,
that knowledge is a powerful tool,
not just for the few,
but for the many,
a flame that can ignite change,
a whisper that can turn into a roar.

So let us carry his lessons,
like seeds in our pockets,
planting them in the minds of those around us,
nurturing the sprouts of curiosity,
and watching as they grow,
reaching for the sky,
knowing that the past and present
are threads woven together,
a tapestry of hope,
that continues to unfold,
one thought at a time.
