Noir Poem by Alexander Foald

Noir

It’s cold in the morning
Too early to wake up your mind
The moistures are circling around
Down below the weight someone can hold

Just walk behind me
If you ever feel afraid
Stay close to me
If you know who I am

It’s dark and blinding
No eyes would be able to see
Only heartbeats and footsteps of ours
Heard next to the glimpse of light

Just walk behind me
If you want to find the way
Don’t get too far away
Even if you can’t believe me

Because the most fearsome feelings
I could ever have in this unknown place
Are the most frightening facts if I ever know
That I was only walking by myself alone
