Normandy Poem by Nkwachukwu Ogbuagu

Normandy

Normandy is a different story,
A story for another day,
A tale by moonlight.
We tell it either way:
In high or low tide
When the waves of
Utah
Omaha
Gold
Juno
and
Sword
Have lashed hard against all weapons,
Hard and fragile,
Weltering loudly on blood and grime,
and puking Freedom upon shackled shores.
