Not A Hermit Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Not A Hermit

I like the sun, but choose my shade,
A gentle friend, not one to invade.

I'm not a hermit, locked away,
But pick my moments, come what may.

Company is good, a warming fire,
With souls that spark, a shared desire.

For common ground, a meeting place,
Where understanding lights each face.

Views different? That's alright, you see,
Unless they clash too hard with me.

Race, creed, or flag, they hold no sway,
Kind hearts are welcome, come what may.

Personality shines, a guiding star,
If you are genuine, near or far.
