Not In This Lifetime

it cuts so deep inside my soul
I feel no pain
though my love is strong
and yours even more
I’m sorry to say
but it has to be ignored
for it wasn’t meant to be
you have her and I have him
but darling who knows
one day we might meet again
I just doubt
it’s going to be in this lifetime.
