POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
At first, people think vocation is not for them; so they generally do not give it thought. When the idea comes up, they still say, "Not me. No, not me. Though they do not specifically think about consecrated life, they do begin thinking about what they would like to do in life. In that way, they begin to realize that God has a tremendously loving plan for them in life.
What they would like to do would ideally fit in with God's tremendously loving plan. It is like starting a jigsaw puzzle and wanting to stay at it until they have all the pieces in place!
