Not That World - Poem by Adebayo Oluwatobi
When i was born, Isn't this the earth i known?
I mean that old world
Wher' The goings was good
'bout it i stammer'd
When mine age was young
Near southpole ye discover
The empire of the martyr
The scrulpture of deep affection
It monument of unsold enthusiasm
Or have i contradict stance to mine believe
And prove me unright?
I guess it not...........
Not that globe i've once lived
.............This or That world
It Stand cum rigidity
Traitors can't unplant
A place safe
Like the khafre's pyramid
In a tongue, We speak all;
say is the truth
Ev'r then God opens heaven and mutter'd
Heavenly beings plus son of man art friendliest
Like a live coal Convivial love burns
But think it,
The watchmen look out.
With a scroll and one ink describe it not
This newbie world
And On the edge seats y'all........
To this unnamed world;
Worser than the known
The sages here art fools subject
The crook bear and breeds the crooks
To dump Blind leads the dumb
For we live on others flesh
Wher' war is a sport
Till no more ye drink, no more blood
- -Dear prime of ours' cupidity
To decree till eternity
Here preppy apes scare the ugly monkeys
As the crocodile yawn at the seahorse
The law rules the paupers
Not the rulers
Corruption ev'r blamed Of the corrupt'd
Hither, if ye ain't go alongst with me;
Thy views art blunt O'Philosophers
Hell awaits you, if ye think
Same art the world
I wouldst disbelieve
Teach ye not that world
Only if ye prove to me
That, the then world is this
Then i assure you it's not..........
I guess is not or is it?
