I remember, God
when first I knew you were—
that fact enough—
to be subsumed
in that new life—
enough.
But now four decades past
I'm less content
at times.
So here I reckon
withmyself
and you
remind myself
of what I know most sure
to still my heart—
the future's yours
eternity too
and deep as I may burrow
voiceless be my prayer
all is heard and seen
by you—
no smallest bird
fall from its nest
no star far flung
or new—
and nothing else worth having
if I'm apart from you.
All belongs to God and eternity is our desire...10. Please kindly check my poems HOPE and THE BEAUTY OF DEATH and leave your comments and your rating.

Thank you, Dillip. As it happened I read this poem today as part of the sermon or message time I facilitated for our worship service. Blessings on you. -Glen
