Nothing Gained Poem by Sierra Staten

Nothing Gained

When cutting couldn't help me
And words were not my friend
That is when i turned to you
But you denied me in the end

I tried so hard to speak the truth
But my whole life has been a lie.
It's something that I can't explain
Yet, maybe I'm just too shy.

Even though it's far too late
I Think that you should know
Any moment I was with you
I swear my heart did grow.

I never cut I never cried
And I did not know this pain.
All the things that I have lost,
And not one thing did I gain.

Maybe you will take my word
Or maybe you will leave,
Whatever you do remember,
I've got one last thing up my sleeve.
