Nothing Of Good

Nothing of good was mine before
Evil in word and deed
Until I opened up my door
To life’s eternal Seed

The Truth was clear The Way made free
I saw The Promised Land
The voice of Love was calling me
To take me by the hand

I saw The Lamb who chose to die
Could see life’s living Stream
The Son of God who rose on high
To reign as King supreme

Beyond the realm of countless tears
Beyond our skies of blue
Above the source of doubts and fears
Will soar His Chosen Few

Seeking to be amongst them Lord
To reach my unseen Goal
With all my God I could afford
I prayed to save my soul

You heard the cry, a servant’s plea
You saw a heart sincere
Quite suddenly on bended knee
The facts were crystal clear

You’re faithful Lord in every way
Your Word is ever true
Even to me fallen astray
You’ve given birth anew

Not for the goodness ever done
Nor any righteous thought
But by the grace of Christ Your Son
And trusting His report
