Nothing Old Can Stay Poem by Quaid - Uz- Zaman

Nothing Old Can Stay

Old leaves are falling off,
New leaflets emerging with flaming beauty.
Nothing old can stay.
Many old rivers have lost their path,
While new rivulets have gained strength.
Old is gold, yet nothing gold can stay.

We bid farewell to the old and aged
And greet the new ones.
A child's smile brings divinity,
While an old one's smile awards vanity.
To fill up a dry shore, let new waves wander over.
Let the old ones live and depart in peace and grace,
And let the youngsters thrive with all their green and wildness.
