Now She Is Rose, Now She Is Lilies Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

Now She Is Rose, Now She Is Lilies

There rose a rose
Beneath the cloudy blue sky
And amongst it's sweetest Gale
Flew a leaf
Close by

And tears fell
Like morning dew that day
For my friend
In memory of years
That flew away

Black as the night
My heart grew cold
And what I missed
Cannot be told

A friend has left
I knew
No more

A friend of mine
That sung through
Years and years untold

A friend called hope
A friend named love
A friend of mine
Too dear at heart

She was sixteen
When I was twelve
And we played
Like fools
Till time took
Leave from us

Now she is rose
Now She is lilies
She is the golden tulip
That makes the air so
Sweet

Though I will be gone
Like a Summer's Gale someday
But the earth will prevail
To the flowers
That she was
Like innocence
