Now I know how it felt
When I left you to fend for yourself.
You sat there, elbows on knees, face in palms,
While we turned our backs on you and made merry.
Never did we bother to think of you;
You sat the gloomy night alone
While we basked in the glory of brotherhood,
Never did we bother to think of you.
Now that that glimmer has gradually evanesced,
I take your place under the gloomy night.
Your sorrows make my heart melt,
Now that I know how you felt.
