O Absolute Reality! Poem by Mystic Qalandar

O Absolute Reality!

O Absolute Reality!
It is You who sustains me,
and all that exists—
in the world of creation
and the world of command.
You remind me that love
is that breath of Yours
breathed into the mould of clay,
and therefore it can never die.

O Absolute Reality!
Your breath, once breathed
into the mould of clay,
does not end upon the dust
of the grave—
it merely changes its abode.

O Absolute Reality!
I have a plea to the angels—
call them, and tell them
that I have not forgotten that moment
when they laughed mockingly
at my senseless, motionless puppet,
before the first breath,
before that first soul
You instilled into my being.

O Absolute Reality!
Yes — they fell into prostration
when knowledge was granted to me,
when the names of things
were illumined upon my heart.
But they had hesitated
to bow before me,
before that.
Tell them:
those very laughs of theirs
still live within me.
And yet — tell them also
that when they laid their foreheads
on the dust
before the command of the Lord,
and Iblis, deprived of wisdom, refused —
it was then I came to know
what servitude truly is.

O Absolute Reality!
Even today, their glorification,
their sanctification,
their love-filled obedience
shape the grace of my conduct,
that I may walk in this world
as His servant.
Tell them
that Absolute Reality
still holds my hand,
and with every breath,
I become a prayer, a supplication.
I walk with my Lord
as a servant —
and in this relation
I find eternal peace.

O Absolute Reality!
In the boundless vastness of time,
even bearing the weighty burden
of absolute monotheism,
I feel
this load is lighter than air —
and then an inexpressible joy
descends within me,
and I begin to dance in ecstasy,
like a whirling dervish.

O Absolute Reality!
That hour granted
in Your proximity
reveals to me the secret:
that it was You who,
as the Lord, spoke Alastu —
Am I not your Lord? —
and within me, as a servant,
the answer arose: Bala —
Yes, we bear witness.

O Absolute Reality!
Since that primordial moment,
without longing, without effort,
Your remembrance
has surged in my heart.
At the end of this letter,
I write my name —
with hope,
with deep yearning,
and with a love
that refuses to fade.
With the certainty
that the heavens are reading
every word,
and responding in ways
only the heart can perceive.

For Absolute Reality has no partner,
no equal, and no opposite.
