O To Be A Dormouse Poem by Amy J Richardson

O To Be A Dormouse

A dormouse woke and scratched his head,
He'd slept a long duration,
'What could I possibly need, ' he said,
'After six months hibernation?
'I don't want drink or to be fed'.
But with quiet contemplation,
Stated 'What I wish for now instead,
'Is rest and relaxation.'
