Oath Poem by Christopher Cofield

Oath

Rating: 5.0

U have led me into temptation and i have tasted the forbidden fruit and it was good / Now shatter my shell and form me to your liking – make me your servant / Show me your way, i know nothing / Give me life, U create my existence for i long to breathe / Be not only teacher to me, but be my love, my life, my master – a God / Show me your world, i have no knowledge of it / Teach me your customs, make me a native of your soil / Prepare my entrance rite for access into your household – i come willingly / My offering is well chosen, i gladly renounce all claim to my past life / i choose this existence for one reason alone – U / At the thought of U every pore in my body wails and breaks / U have seduced me into your world made of a composition of darkness and light – they are both appealing / i know the passage into your world will be a long and hard journey, i have no fear for U are my guide / Cleanse me of my impurities, wash away all my sins / Sculpt me in your image – i long to be perfect
