Obey And Win

The cross seemed such a foolish way
For Christ to set us free
But when obedience wins the day
Man’s eyes the truth will see

We see true love can conquer all
When love becomes our view
And through it’s use, we’ll never fall
With virtue standing true

Yet many ways we walk are wrong
Though deep inside we burn
Obedience stays the foreign song
Not few refuse to learn

We know of God’s eternal wrath
We know God’s righteous way
But choose instead the devil’s path!
Like fools we disobey

Obedience yet at times can cost
We’ll sacrifice instead
Again like fools we stumble lost
And live as walking dead

Oh God let darkness now depart
Let disobedience flee
Let love burn deep within the heart
Of those who fail to see

Through Christ we learn to know Your will
We know to flee the grave
But if we disobey You still
There’s no one else to save

Let Christ’s obedience make us wise
Let love convict the soul
Let Godly fear, lay wide our eyes
To score the victory goal
