'Ode To A Legend: Professor Wole Soyinka'

Today, my pen wishes to exalt a great name,
Someone whose greatness burns like a flame.
A unique creature who is known worldwide,
One who upholds the discipline of our motherland with pride.

O mentor, Professor Wole Soyinka,
I speak of you today, for your achievements are proof of greatness in Africa.
We are pleased to have a personality like thee,
Our motherland Nigeria, had always wished for this to be.

O compatriot, join me in eulogizing the name of our first African laureate,
He deserves accolades, for he has excelled in writing in all genres.
Oh, what a great man I have come to know,
No doubt, he is a guru and inspirer too.

Professor Wole Soyinka, it is an honor to speak of you through this art,
I'm a poet who loves and cherishes you from my heart.
My ink pens your great name SOYINKA so boldly,
For you are a legend, the greatest one mostly.
