Ode To Happiness, The Past And Perfection Poem by Vincent Cibelli

Ode To Happiness, The Past And Perfection

Here is the sunshine and warm rain
Blossoming azaleas on a bright spring day
A cool blue creek where deer drink
Splashing water on my face from a secret aquifer
Twisting country roads and an upbeat song from the radio
Laughter resounding from passangers
My arm tanning as i smoke my cigarette
Traveling south to insignifigant destinations
Wheels rolling and mountains climbing
Into the clear blue sky
Happy and laughing i die
The dust and pollen i have become
Shoots from my rear tires
16 or 75 makes no difference right now
This day the greatest proof
That jesus saved us
And god loves us
I do not know more perfect moments
Heaven is an endless road and bottomless gas tank
Plush cloth seats and crisp speakers
I float on a automatic cloud
Watching the trees wave hello to my past
