O Pratap, proud son of Mewar,
I salute the spirit that would never bow.
When mighty powers called for submission,
you chose the hard road of freedom.
You left the comfort of the palace
for the rugged hills and forests;
you endured hunger, hardship, and exile,
but guarded the honour of your homeland.
O fearless Maharana,
your sword was not merely steel—
it was the voice of a free soul,
a voice that refused to surrender.
Against the vast might of Akbar's empire,
you stood for the independence of Mewar.
The years were harsh,
yet your resolve remained unbroken.
The hills remember your footsteps,
the winds remember your name,
and the soil of Rajasthan still whispers:
'Freedom is dearer than comfort,
honour is greater than power,
and courage lives beyond the life of a man.'
O Pratap,
your battle belongs to history,
but your spirit belongs to every age.
May every heart that values freedom
remember the man who would not bow.
