There's a moment in this world. Late in December night.
The darkness touched by the hanging warm lights.
I stay and linger while most are safe and cozy inside, with their trees shining back.
Because here before tomorrow comes, I find peace and safety.
I'm not ready for my problems, and here I only know them in my mind.
Then I'll go to bed and rest amidst the beauty of dark and Christmas blessed.
So I enjoy this time now that keeps my worries at bay.
I don't have to live then or tomorrow.
I fall asleep with the sounds of peace and good will as the carols play.
