Of Grave Concern

Rating: 5.0

It seems man’s sin will never cease
Each day increasing more
Believing death’s eternal peace
To endless rest the door

The devil seeks to keep man blind
Would like to keep us slave
Thinking death’s peaceful arms to find
In silence of the grave

Yet silent though the grave may be
Though man has closed his eyes
To death no soul will bend the knee
But to God’s judgement rise

Make no mistake of life’s dark vale
The truth’s made crystal clear
The bible’s not a fairy tale
Some story children fear

Once cemetery gates are opened wide
Once death has come to reap
There is no place where souls can hide
Nor bed where spirits sleep

Though few see winter’s silver dawn
Witness life’s ebbing days
Yet ere life’s breath is finally torn
We fail to end our ways

We need to change as God commands
Repent before the night
Take hold of Jesus’ loving hands
And walk His path of light

Yet still we live as Satan’s tools
We walk the devil’s path
To finally die eternal fools
And face the coming wrath
