Of The Sympathy Of Their Figures. Poem by Margaret Cavendish

Of The Sympathy Of Their Figures.

SUch Sympathy there is in every Figure,
That every severall sort do flock together.
As Aire, Water, Earth and Fire;
Which make each Element to be entire:
Not but loose Atomes, like Sheep stray about,
And into severall places go in, and out:
And some as Sheep and Kineº do mixe together; ºcattle
Which when they mixe, tis severall change of weather.
But Motion, as their Shepheard, drives them so,
As not to let them out of order go.
