Oh death!
You see us all! You know us all!
You spin your wheels in time and space
And take us beyond to an unknown place
Where dreams are unrevealed!
You send us far into pitch darkness
Along a path where souls must slumber.
The choice is not with us!
The flesh must fail
And sleep to wake no more
Upon this earthly shore
Ending this chapter of life
Until the time will come again
To start another term of earthly sojourn.
Oh death! we cannot understand the mystery of you!
