Oh World Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Oh World

Oh World, what have you drawn
Upon these unsuspecting slates
Their innocence is surprised
Upon what the stars have written
They’ve forgotten what was now
The wind blew them away
Before setting fire to the mountains
The skin on my ankles are blushing
Looking nervously, from left to right
My skeleton is frightened
But I think we can work this out
Both moon and sun trace circles
Around our eager, wishful eyes
I feel tears leave my face
As they drip into my colored coffee
But the night is ready to take us away
Fold me in your arms, remember me
We are happening, we are impossible
Oh World, hey; believe in it now
