on a sunny day
life gets lonely sometimes
as i sit on one of the stairs
facing the road
fronting his house that father
built for me
the rows of mahogany trees
are silent for the wind is not coming yet
from the distant sea
the long road gives the mirage
of a car coming from a distance
i stand and go higher by the window
to see some dusts like an exhaust of a car
only to realize that i am just
imagining things
they are not there and in the mind
they are getting far and fewer
waiting sometimes can be a monster
and taking my revenge
i plunge myself in a set of books
and wish that all these characters
forever
shall in my heart disappear.
i tell myself, after all, i have learned this art
of living all alone.
