On Angel Wings Poem by Jessica Amburgey

On Angel Wings

Rating: 5.0

If tears could fall
on Angels wings
could they carry
the burden the
pain would bring?

Could they hold
their heads high
or bow their
heads to cry?

Would the clouds
part to Heavens'
light or would dark
take way to show
the night?

Would the trumpets
sound a thunderous
roar as Angels bang
on golden doors?

Would their eyes
show wear of
years gone by
and leave the
tracks of each
tear they've cried?

Would their hearts
open wide to
share the pain to the
reaching hands that
Heaven gains?

Would a voice call
out to far and wide
'I needed her close
and by my side.'

'For in MY arms
she now lays and
in your hearts she
forever stays.'
