The smell of nature in the air,
and miles to go without a care.
I witness the beauty of the trees,
growing tall for all to see.
Dead leaves underfoot abound,
blanketed on the softened ground.
The birds so sweetly sing their song,
as in awe I make my way along.
The sight of critters in work or play,
nature's beauty on full display.
The sunlight dances and softly gleams,
reflected by the flowing streams.
On a fallen tree I rest awhile,
unable to hide my joyful smile.
I take it all in as I rest,
the wild charm and peacefulness.
It doesn't matter the time of year,
you can always find me here.
With the smell of nature in the air,
and miles to go without a care.
