On Seeing The Finding Of Moses By Ofazio Gentileschi
The feet almost off the ground
The baby Moses born a wherewithal
The skies above his origin
Fingers point toward truth
Hand gestures sprawled across
The traditional canvas
Women bear the child
Reared by woman's hand
The fingers that point the way
From the little man
Now in his cot.
