On the edge of something new, I held onto hope in glances
On the edge of a story untold, I built a story in the silence
On the edge of the silence, I let my mind write a chapter
On the edge of a love unfolding, I waited in prayers and wishful thinking
Dreaming of a love I never knew I needed
Feeling hope in a soul I had known before
On the edge of something new, I waited through lonely seasons
On the edge of the silence, my soul mourned missed chances
On the edge of a story untold, my heart finally awakened
To the truth that I stood and waited on the edge
And the love I thought unfolding was never mine to keep
On the edge I let my tears drown me
On the edge I left my hopes, love and soul
