On The Edge: A Collection Poem by Dan Brown

On The Edge: A Collection

I

I’m broken, shattered, and torn;
for all my loss I mourn.
Like rain I cry,
like love I die;
as sounds the Hunter’s Horn.

Welcome

I invite you in, open the door;
lose myself forevermore.
Extinguish the flame,
end the game;
and slowly fall to the floor.

Death

You’re the Leader of the Free;
just ill-fated souls can see.
You commit no sin,
I invite you in,
and in return you welcome me.
