One Book Poem by Les Derbyshire

One Book

The wise man knows
When he is wrong
And says so.
He knows
What he does not know
And listens to his brother's story.

The fool believes
That he alone is right.
He reads but one book;
Slave to its words
He does not hear
The wisdom of ten thousand years.
