One Day Poem by Hima chan

One day
I will eventually soar
I will pick myself up from the earth
And let my wings take flight into the sky
But for now I shall stay
Chained on the solid ground
Bound by the limitations
I was born to face.


One day
I will eventually wake up
I will face reality with determination
And accept my ill fate
But for now I shall dream
Buried in the recesses of my soul
Drowning in past memories
I can never let go of.


One day
I will eventually sing
The tune that I have wished
To sing all throughout my life
But for now I shall be silent
And keep the melody to myself
For I know it is not time
Yes, now is not the time.


One day
I will eventually find
Him whose existence
I've been longing to seek
But for now I shall be on my own
On a long solitary journey
To find the only person
I'll forever live and die for.
