One Man Conversation Poem by Brittney West

One Man Conversation

I'll hold you here, and won't let go
We'll talk about your fears,
Your cuts and scars, you'll never show
But I can see your tears,
The hurt you feel, the pain you bleed
I see it in your eyes,
It's very real, but without need
I'll wipe away your cries,
Your voice will silence, and mine will too
We'll stare into our reflection,
We'll see something we always knew
The look of imperfection,
When I see you, what I see is me
Because you are my imagination,
You're there for me, for who I be
My very own creation,
The only one to talk to me
My one man conversation.
