Auspicious Crane-riding Immortal
One Starry Christmas Eve
By William He
Infalling radiation is blueshifted by now.
In the dazzling nature dim,
Celestial black serpents writhe round and spit.
Flying wisps of clouds seem not to wilt.
The prophecy is delivering,
A wondrous star hanging on Bethlehem wall.
A host of angels appear in the air.
Chiming with silvery rhyme,
Heralding the Child-Christ born.
Hope and depression alternate in life of all,
Thinking of dawn and dusk clear,
The soul fights desperately to keep.
Pure devotion wrapped in the luminous flux,
The Xmas tree finding a home,
A way up high above the clouds.
Santa Claus is stable as his gifts.
White flakes around him whirl,
Tangible symbol of all the gods.
Bright echoed by Monocerotis,
He is riding to the Christian land in field of blue.
The sledges with the reindeers four-in-hand.
People's eyes flicker like broken lights,
Basking in the glory of the overwhelming might.
