One Thought Meets Another Thought... - Poem by Timmy Curran

To be anything but me
Oh what a freedom that would be
To look upon a world
with a newborns eyes
Ignorant, naive
everything a surprise
Instead of this man,
who sits in the sand
looking at serenity,
vast, stupendous, lucious and wealthy
but feeling catastrophy,
fast, tremendous, conspicious
and weary
I think of park benches
where I once slept
I think of the stenches
of all of my depths
Can only seem to see
my auspicious undoing,
everything done coming back to me
