Opening Up Poem by Clara Diskley

Opening Up

See this girl whose in the crowd
Golden locks of hair, beautiful blue eyes
Such a sweet smile that you can't help
but to love
Pleasant voice that no one ever hears
Instead they hear silence
They see my blank expression of my face
Look at me and don't undestand
Why doesn't she constantly talk like everyone
else
Always quiet and doesn't say that much
What they don't know is that I'm not them
I'm proud to not get drowned into all of this
Not to follow the pattern everyone seems to know
I take the way which no one goes

People want me to be loud and outgoing
Truth behold I am once you get to know me
The people who see this side of me are very
special to me
Opening up means coming out of my shell
They don't usually see that part of me
Not many do, only very few actually do
