Creating a masterpiece, a culinary creed
The curtains rise, the spotlight shines
On a table set for a royal dine
The plates are the stage, white and pristine
Ready to welcome the star of the scene
The overture begins with a glass of wine
A burst of notes, a taste so divine
Deep and rich, like a baritone's voice
It sets the mood, it sets the choice
On the plate, a work of art
A canvas of flavors, each one a part
Of the story being told with every bite
A tale of passion, a tale of delight
The first course, a prologue to the meal
A light and delicate, a sensory appeal
Foie gras, like a smooth soprano
Melting on the tongue, a heavenly piano
The main course, a grand aria
Bold and dramatic, a gastronomic opera
A tender steak, cooked to perfection
Dancing with herbs, in a symphony of affection
The accompaniment, a chorus of sides
A harmony of vegetables, a melody that guides
The flavors to new heights, to new depths
Echoing in the mouth, like a choir that accepts
Dessert, the finale, the climax of the show
A sweet crescendo, a standing ovation, oh!
Chocolate mousse, a diva in her own right
Creamy and rich, a delicious sight
The wine flows freely, like a river of sound
Complementing each dish, in harmony they're bound
The orchestra of flavors, a symphony of taste
Creating a masterpiece, no palate shall waste
Opera for dinner, a theatrical display
A feast for the senses, in every way
The stage is set, the audience is ready
For a culinary performance, that's truly heady
The chef takes a bow, as the curtains close
The diners applaud, with happy bellows
The show is over, but the memory remains
A night of magic, a night of culinary gains
As the diners leave, filled with satisfaction
They take with them, a piece of this action
The taste, the smell, the sights and the sound
